UK.INK exists to help people find great tattoo artists through honest, trustworthy reviews. This policy sets out how reviews work, how we protect studios from fake or malicious reviews, and what happens when things go wrong.
Anyone with a registered UK.INK account can leave a review. You must have received a tattoo service from the artist you are reviewing. Leaving a false review — describing an experience you did not have — is a breach of these guidelines and may be defamatory under UK law.
You may not review your own studio or any studio in which you have a personal or financial interest.
Studios can generate single-use Booking Codes from their dashboard and give one to each client after their appointment. When a client enters their code while submitting a review, the review is automatically marked with a ✓ Verified Client badge.
Verified reviews:
Reviews without a code are still published, but displayed as unverified. They remain subject to the same content rules.
Reviews that include any of the following will be removed:
Ratings are from 1 to 5 stars and should reflect your overall experience with a specific artist. An artist's average rating feeds into their studio's overall rating displayed in search results. Ratings must represent your genuine assessment of the service — artificially inflating or deflating ratings is prohibited.
Studio owners who believe a review is fake, malicious, or in breach of this policy can formally dispute it from their dashboard (Reviews → Dispute). When a dispute is submitted:
Frivolous disputes — disputing reviews simply because they are negative, without a legitimate basis — may result in dispute privileges being restricted.

UK.INK does not have access to studios' appointment records and cannot independently verify that a client attended in the absence of a Booking Code. We therefore strongly encourage studios to issue Booking Codes routinely.
UK.INK is a hosting platform. We do not author or endorse any review. All opinions expressed in reviews are those of the individual reviewer. Please see our Terms of Service for the full statement on our liability in respect of user-generated content.
If you believe a review violates this policy and you are not a studio owner with dashboard access, please email dbmonkey@gmail.com with the page URL and the reason for your concern. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
